'Shiawase Banana' is a high-quality banana brand under the Japanese UNIFRUTTI company. The nendo design studio was commissioned to design the packaging for this banana, and the designers believed that luxurious packaging would be superfluous for its high quality and would overshadow its environmental attributes. Therefore, they decided to avoid boxes and packaging materials and instead used simulated stickers on the surface of the banana peel. The stickers are double-layered, with the outermost layer faithfully replicating the texture and color of the banana peel, including realistic bruises and discoloration; after peeling off one layer of the sticker, the banana flesh and various information about the banana are revealed.

The 'Pizza Tray' designed by the American Zume Pizza Company has been successfully nominated for the DuPont Packaging Innovation Award.
